Choose easier wording or exam-style wording
Final Exam Set 1 now includes two English wording modes. Easy learning uses shorter sentences and clearer explanations. Exam style keeps the original, more formal wording so you can practise reading carefully before the real test.
Your choice is saved in this browser, and you can switch modes at any time without losing test progress. The original answers and rule meanings are unchanged.
About the practice tests and how to study effectively
What the practice app contains
The Learner Permit section has five sets of 50 questions, for a total of 250. The Final Exam section has four sets of 90 questions, for a total of 360. Questions are grouped by topics such as signs, signals, pedestrians, parking, speed, intersections, railway crossings, safety and vehicle rules. Explanations help you understand why a statement is true or false instead of memorising only an answer.
How to use the question sets
Begin with one complete set in your strongest language. Review every explanation, including answers that were correct by guesswork. Use weak-area and missed-question modes to repeat rules that cause errors. After studying, take a fresh timed set without hints. Consistent scores above the official threshold provide a better safety margin than passing a single familiar set.
Learner Permit and Final Exam preparation
The browser app focuses on written True/False rule practice. Official examinations can use different wording and may include illustration-based hazard-prediction items, administrative conditions or local language arrangements. Combine this question bank with current official material, road-sign study and practical instruction. Confirm the examination format and supported languages with the prefectural police authority responsible for your address.
Figures, translations and accessibility
Road figures are loaded only when needed, which makes the initial page lighter on mobile connections. Alternative text identifies the type of road sign or traffic diagram. Multilingual translations are provided for study support, but difficult legal wording may still require comparison with Japanese source material or help from a qualified instructor or interpreter.
Progress and privacy
No account is required. Progress normally remains in local browser storage on the device. Clearing browser data, using private mode or changing devices can remove it. The practice interface contains no embedded advertisement area. Read the privacy policy for more information.
Related licence information
Written-test study is only one part of getting or keeping a licence. Use the related guides to check foreign licence conversion documents, driving-school routes, renewal periods, replacement procedures and temporary driving rules. The permanent home button at the top of the mobile page returns to the main licence-information website without relying on the browser’s back history.
Safe, realistic preparation
Use the tests as structured revision rather than as a promise that the official examination will repeat the same wording. Read every explanation, compare difficult rules with current official material and practise until you can explain why an answer is correct. The website is designed for independent study, but professional instruction remains valuable for practical driving skills and local procedures.
